MEGA Maryland is back - live and in person!

A hybrid experience ӏ October 11 – 15, 2021

Join us—in person—on Wednesday, October 13th at Martins West in Baltimore, MD for two inspiring and informative keynotes, State and Federal agency panels, networking, matchmaking, client panels, training sessions, and MORE! We will round out the week with special activities (think golf + vineyard or brewery), virtual client panels, education, and training webinars. 2021programming and schedule to be announced shortly.

MEGA Maryland is the premier event for the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. Our mission is to provide relevant and meaningful information inclusive of all members of the AEC industry with a focus on helping today’s small, minority, woman and veteran-owned businesses grow and thrive. Boasting 75+ speakers, meaningful connections and client engagement, this event cannot be missed!

MORNING KEYNOTE - What moves people?

Founder, CEO, Principal Advisor, Influence 51

What moves people? What are the factors that shape our attitudes, shift our decisions, and change our behavior? And how can we leverage these insights to build more effective leaders, more motivated teams, and more successful organizations? Psychologist and behavioral scientist JonRobert founded Influence 51 to help clients answer precisely these questions, and he now works with a portfolio of global companies on projects that include:

 

  • Coaching leaders on how to connect, motivate, and persuade more effectively

  • Assisting HR teams in designing incentive systems and executing behavior change initiatives

  • Collaborating with sales and marketing teams on tactical messaging, branding, and client acquisition efforts

 

He earned a Master’s in Social Cognition from University College London, a Master’s in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, and began his Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Cambridge in 2020. In addition, he is also the co-author of the award-winning book "Our Search for Belonging: How Our Need to Connect is Tearing Us Apart," which earned the gold medal in the Social Change and Social Justice category of the 2018 Nautilus Book Awards.

Mr. Anderson is Chairman & CEO of CG/LA Infrastructure, a firm focused on global infrastructure project development, driving productivity across countries. He oversees Blueprint 2025, a select group of leading public and private entities focused on doubling the size of infrastructure investment in the U.S. The group’s steering committee, the National Infrastructure Performance Council, is anchored by founding chairmen, Hank Greenberg (founder of AIG) and David Petraeus. Mr. Anderson focuses on the value of infrastructure in generating economic growth, recovery from Covid-19 and long-term benefits for people around the world. In this role he is in constant contact with leaders in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Latin America, focused on innovative ways to #CreateGreat projects.

 

He is a regular contributor to CNBC, Bloomberg, CBC and Fox Business News, and is a contributor to Forbes.com, focusing on infrastructure, technology and the benefits of infrastructure for people in the US and global infrastructure markets.

As part of the 2021 MEGA Maryland conference, we are providing opportunities for prime firms and agencies to meet with representatives from small/minority A/E firms from the Maryland/DC metropolitan area. Firms will rotate on a timed basis to allow introductions at each station and exposure to all agencies/prime firms participating in the event. Participation is free with full conference registration or exhibitor package. Space is limited to 20 agencies/large firms.
